To use, first cleanse your face as you usually would, our preference is the use the Clear Skin AHA BHA Exfoliating Cleanser. Next, gently apply raw potato to your pimple or acne and massage it in for about 10 minutes. Leave the residue on your skin and let it do it’s work overnight. When you wake up cleanse your face the same way you always would and enjoy your improved skin. This also works well for dark spots on skin.

  1. Hydrogen Peroxide

When you need a quick fix, hydrogen peroxide can help treat a pimple fast. It can remove the acne-causing bacteria on your skin and oxygenate your pores. Be careful not to use too strong a solution.

Some people can use a 3 percent strength solution, but I you have sensitive skin you can dilute it up to 3-1 with water. Dab a small amount of the solution onto your acne with a cotton ball and hold there briefly.

However, use this natural remedy sparingly. Hydrogen peroxide is not a long term solution. If used too frequently, it can irritate your skin and dry it out. Don’t get this mix into your eyes. Also, avoid your hair and eyebrows as it can bleach them.

  1. Ice

One of the most accessible home remedies to use for a pimple is ice. The cold can help soothe the area, reduce the redness and the size of the pimple, and help close your pores.

To use, wrap a piece of ice in a thin cloth. Apply it to the area for about 15 to 20 seconds and then remove it for the same amount of time. Repeat this process for about 20 minutes.

  1. Medical-Grade Honey

Medical grade honey, such as manuka honey, has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that can help treat your acne. If you don’t have access to medical-grade honey, raw organic honey should also work as long as it doesn’t have any additives or processed sugars in it.

To use, you can apply the honey directly to the pimple. After a few minutes, gently rinse the honey off with warm water.

  1. Turmeric

The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric can help soothe your skin and reduce the appearance of pimples. It also may help reduce acne scarring.

To treat your acne, make a paste using turmeric powder. Combine turmeric powder with Greek yogurt and a small amount of honey. Apply the paste to your skin, and leave it on for about thirty minutes. Rinse it off with cool water.

While turmeric is good for your body, some people can be allergic to it. If you’re not sure, apply a small amount on your skin to test for adverse reactions. Also, turmeric can stain your clothes or your skin.
